2017 Festival

Last year, at the first RAF Girls Festival of Rugby, over 400 girls (U13s, U15s & U18s) from local clubs participated in what turned out to be a unique day of rugby. A Puma II from RAF Benson, with two England International players onboard, arrived mid-festival. The girls had a great day and left with a true sense of how a career within the RAF is "No Ordinary Job".

2018 Festival

This year's event will align with the RAF100 strategy to "Commemorate, Celebrate and Inspire". The 2018 RAF Girls Festival of Rugby will engage with nearly 1000 girls from clubs such as Reading, Basingstoke, Peterborough and Cobham. The festival will promote the sporting ideals of rugby: teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship. Importantly, it will inspire interest in the RAF heritage and help young people to understand the impact of the RAF in the world - past, present and future.

So please come along with all the family and support the players, volunteer coaches, refs, management teams and the RAF.
